The Stoneholm, Brookline

    unnamed (6)

Built in the first decade of the 20th century, The Stoneholm was one of Brookline’s premiere addresses. Designed by notable architect Arthur Bowditch, historians have claimed it as one of the finer examples of French Baroque architecture in the Boston area. It features intricately carved granite–paired brackets, dormers with broken scroll pediments, festoons–and the embellishments for the mansard roof.
