Boston’s Residential Exemption Gets a Boost

    city-hallThis tax year, Boston’s residential exemption will save owner occupant homeowners up to $2,433 on their tax bill, an increase of nearly $500 compared to last year. Additional tax relief may be available by filing for a personal exemption and qualified senior homeowners may also apply for the tax deferral program.

    Residential exemption applications are now available online at the Boston Assessor’s website and need to be filed by April 3 for the current fiscal year.
